Ingredients:
- 4 x egg yolk
- 4 x beaten white of egg
- ¾ cup of icing sugar
- 1 ½ cups of flour
- 100g butter
- 2 tablespoons of HINTZ Cocoa powder
- 1 small spoon of HINTZ Vanillin
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
Directions:
Separate the egg yolk from the white and beat the egg white until stiff.
In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking powder, add HINTZ Cocoa Powder and sugar plus the 4 egg yolks until you have a smooth dough. Before filling this dough into a baking pan, carefully add the stiff egg white until a soft sponge mass is achieved. Then fill the dough into the pan and keep it in the pre-heated oven at 180°C for abt. 40 - 45 minutes. After the cake has cooled off, slice it horizontally and fill it with whipped cream and nuts.
